I'm 51 yearts old. My son got a Ducati and now I am riding the LS650. This is my second year of riding mc, although I have thousands of miles and a decade and a half on road racing bicycles (only 2 wins; I was pretty good, but not real good).

The people on the forum are great. What a helpfull community! Thanks esp. to the sponsor. I was able to learn about not overfilling the crankcase with oil last year. I also plan to get one of those backrests.

I do have another problem. At moderate speeds, less than 55 mph, the bike is smooth and predictable. The bike will get up to 75 or 80 mph pretty easily, but once I have been cruising in the 60 to 70 mph range for a few minutes, the engine will fade and then die. Some times the engine will restart as I dive for the shoulder and down shift to 3rd or 2nd. Today, the bike had to rest for 4 to 6 seconds before I could restart it with the starter motor. Then it seems to run normaly. Today, when it happened, the engine drag seemed to be very high when the engine had stopped but the bike was in 4th or 3rd gear and coasting. So, what the hell is going on here? I am guessing that this is a fuel problem, but I am pretty inexperienced in mc mechanics. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
